DEADLINES:
Online entries can be uploaded starting February 28, 2013. Deadline for submitting entries is 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time on March 22, 2013.
Prize winners will be announced on or before April 1, 2013. The Georgia Renaissance Festival reserves the right to adjust any deadline(s) as the result of causes beyond its immediate control.
Winners:
25 Finalists will be chosen inclusive of one Grand Prize winner.
Grand Prize:
The Grand Prize winner will receive a Royal Combo Package, consisting of four (4) of the following: Adult admission passes, Drink coupons, Food entree coupons, Games and Ride coupons, and Costume Rental or Souvenir coupons valid for rental or purchase discounts. The Royal Combo Package is subject to the rules and terms of use as specified on the Royal Combo Package.
Finalists Prizes:
Each finalist will receive two (2) complementary tickets to the 2013 Georgia Renaissance Festival valid for admission on any Festival day. In the case where more than one photo submitted by someone is chosen as a finalist, a maximum of two (2) complementary tickets will be awarded.
HOW TO ENTER:
To submit your image, you must enter your online submission and information on the flickr website and upload your photo to http://www.flickr.com/groups/renfest2013/

Emailed photos to the Georgia Renaissance Festival will not be considered eligible for the contest.
WHO CAN ENTER:
Photo Contest (the "Contest") is open to ALL photographers at least 18 years of age, except employees of The Georgia Renaissance Festival and the immediate families of such employees.
PHOTO CONTEST RULES:
Submissions:
There is no limit to the number of entries submitted.
The owner of submissions must enable downloading of their photos on the 2013 flickr contest website. http://www.flickr.com/groups/renfest2013/
Photos with embedded text, names or watermarks will disqualified from the contest.
Photo captions must accompany all submissions, and should include the subject of the image, the approximate date and year the image was taken, and the name of the photographer(s). The Georgia Renaissance Festival reserves the right to upload photos submitted to its public social media sites.
Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified.
YOUR RIGHTS:
You will retain all rights to any photograph you submit -- including ownership if applicable -- other than those rights licensed in the next sentence. By entering the contest, you hereby grant to The Georgia Renaissance Festival (i) a nonexclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, publicly display and publicly perform the photographs you submit to The Georgia Renaissance Festival, and (ii) the right to use your name, city, state and country of residence in promotions and other publications.
ELIGIBILITY AND JUDGING:
To ensure eligibility for the contest, entries may originate in any format -- including, but not limited to digital files, digital prints, color transparencies, color prints, or black and white prints -- so long as they are compliant with the Photo Contest Rules and submitted electronically on the 2013 Photo Contest link http://www.flickr.com/groups/renfest2013/
Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. The judges are a panel of creative professionals familiar with photography and the environment of the Georgia Renaissance Festival. They are also responsible for selecting images for various Georgia Renaissance Festival printed and online marketing and membership materials.
The Georgia Renaissance Festival shall determine winner eligibility in its sole and absolute discretion. All decisions made by the judges are final.
