Open Saturdays and Sundays and Memorial Day, April 19th through June 8th, 2014.
Welcome to the Georgia Renaissance Festival!
JOIN US AS WE CELEBRATE 29 YEARS OF CRAZY DAYS AND AMAZING KNIGHTS!
The Georgia Renaissance Festival is an interactive art and entertainment festival held each spring combining outdoor theater, circus-style entertainment, and an arts and crafts marketplace, all set inside our recreated 16th-Century European village.
As soon as the gates to our village of Newcastle open, visitors are transported to a magical medieval theme park full of fun and whimsy. Over 100 skilled artisans inhabit charming cottages, creating unique one-of-a-kind treasures for your shopping pleasure. Strolling minstrels fill the air with music, and our colorful village characters are always ready to regale you with a joke, a story, or just plain silliness!
You'll be hard-pressed to pass by one of our kitchens or pubs without sampling something delicious (usually served on a stick!) or a refreshing beverage. Hearty soups, sandwiches, corn on the cob, meat pies, fish and chips, and far too many tempting decadent desserts are the fare of the Faire. But the ultimate Renaissance treat is the mighty Smoked Turkey Legge! Tipping the scales at 1 1/2 pounds each, these are a meal unto themselves!
Ten stages provide a continuous schedule of music, comedy, juggling, and amazing feats of skill. Talented performers from across the Realm will delight and entertain you all day long!
Looking for a thrill? Our unusual collection of people-powered rides and games of skill are sure to fit the bill! Throw an axe, pluck a duck, ride the Columbus Ships to the New World, or try your luck on the Junior Joust.
The crowning event of any Festival day is the Royal Jousting Tournament. Brave knights in shining armor battle three times daily to be named "King’s Champion”!
Our 29th Annual Season opens April 19 and runs through June 8, 2014 - Saturdays and Sundays including Memorial Day. The gates open at 10:30 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.
