Last Saturday, March 12, the residents of Newcastle had the honor once again of participating in the annual Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Parade. This is always a great event that we look forward to each year, and Saturday did not dissappoint! The weather was perfect, the marching bands were loud and mighty, and the crowd was huge and playful! As we made our way down Peachtree Street in Midtown, it became evident that we had a lot of Georgia Renaissance Festival fans in attendance. As Queen Anne Boleyn and her entourage approched the gallery at Fadó Irish Pub a huge cheer arose from the crowd as well as a hearty "God Save the Queen!" Hundreds of fans cheered and greeted us as we marched through the heart of downtown. We hope to see all of you at least once as we open the gates to the village of Newcastle for our 31st season - April 16 through June 5!
