The Georgia Renaissance Festival is pleased to announce auditions for the 2019 season!
Please note there are two different locations and opportunities to audtiion!

Sunday, November 11th, 11AM-5PM
At the Georgia Renaissance Festival Grounds

The festival runs Saturday and Sundays, April 13th - June 2nd, 2019, including Memorial Day Monday, 10AM-6PM.
GARF is casting a core group of performers to bring the village of Newcastle to life for our 2019 season! We are in search of peasants, pirates, fairies, lords, and ladies of all body types, ethnicities, gender identities and experience backgrounds. Performers with strong character acting and/or improv skills are strongly encouraged to attend.
Additionally, we are casting 3 comic/improv inclined Shakespearean performers for our Short Shakespeare! Program.
We are also looking for actors to portray the historical figures of William Shakespeare, Leonardo Da Vinci and more.

We are looking for bold, engaging performers who have additional skills as jugglers, acrobats, storytellers, circus performers, musicians and more.
The GARF street cast works throughout the Festival day on the grounds, interacting and performing for patrons.
All street cast positions are paid. Cast MUST have wide-ranging weekend availability January-June.
What to bring:
Please bring a headshot and resume if you have one.
This year’s audition will comprise of several component parts for each auditionee. Audition will consist of a cold read, character acting audition and brief interview if needed.
If you have a performance talent or skill, please come prepared to show it off.
If you play an instrument and would like to audition for a spot as a festival musician, please prepare a 1-2 minute performance of a renaissance, pirate or celtic song.
If you are a musician in a group, please ensure that all members of your group are with you.
If you are interested in auditioning for our Short Shakespeare, please prepare a 1-2 minute comedic Shakespeare monologue and be prepared to take redirects.
Wear clothing you can move in-- renaissance costumes are not needed.
Parking at Out Front Theatre is limited, please be prepared to find street or garage parking.
