Viking Longboat Contest 

Three Vikings. One boat. Total chaos. Watch teams race their longboats through obstacles as they work together to steer, turn, and charge toward the finish line. It’s a hilarious and high-energy showdown that rewards teamwork, speed, and serious Norse determination.

Archery Contest 

Who has the sharpest eye and steadiest hand? Join us for an exciting archery contest where competitors battle for bragging rights with every shot. It’s a thrilling showcase of focus, control, and old-world skill that feels right at home at the Georgia Renaissance Festival.

What pairs better with Pet Friendly Weekend than a little glorious chaos? Join us for a hot dog eating contest full of big appetites, loud cheers, and unforgettable fun. Bring your friends, bring your pup, and don’t miss one of the weekend’s most entertaining spectacles.

Hounds of East Fairhaven & GPA Atlanta

Pet Friendly Weekend is the perfect time to spotlight two beloved parts of the festival: the Hounds of East Fairhaven and GPA Atlanta. While both are part of the Georgia Renaissance Festival throughout the season, this special weekend gives guests an extra chance to celebrate incredible dogs, meet graceful greyhounds, learn about adoption, and enjoy even more tail-wagging fun as part of the festivities.

Send a little intrigue through the lanes with Dating Scrolls, a delightfully old-world way to flirt at the festival. Guests can write a note, seal it with wax, and have it delivered by cast members to a potential admirer. With only first names, social handles, and email addresses exchanged, it keeps the fun flowing while adding a bit of romance and adventure to the day.

Who can race the fastest without losing their magical brew? In this exciting relay for ages 6–13, teams must hurry through the course while keeping their potion as full as possible. Speed matters, but so does a steady hand. The best teams will move on to a final race for top honors in this spirited test of teamwork and control.

Conclave of Magic Costume Contest

Enter the Conclave in your most magical form. Wizards, witches, alchemists, sorcerers, fae, and mystic travelers—robes, staffs, spellbooks, and enchanted details highly encouraged.

It's a 3-Day Tudor Tides Takeover!

Ahoy—and make it royal. Drop anchor in the Village of Newcastle as the Crown's Sea Dogs and bold privateers bring courtly splendor and seafaring swagger to the lanes. Enjoy irresistible food and drink, artisan-made treasures, and nonstop entertainment—three full days of nautical mischief and Renaissance revelry.

Memorial Day Monday: All veterans and active military receive free admission at the gate.

Tudor Tides Costume Contests 

Swashbucklers meet courtly splendor. Pirates, privateers, Sea Dogs, sailors, and royal naval officers—bring your best seafaring swagger with a touch of Tudor flair.

Captain’s Tankard Challenge

Think ye have the strength of a true sea rogue? Step up and test your mettle in the Tankard Hold Challenge, where contestants must hold a full tankard straight out before them for as long as possible without wavering. What begins as a simple feat quickly becomes a battle of grit, endurance, and pirate pride. Cheer on the challengers as they fight for bragging rights and prove who’s got the steadiest arm on the seven seas.

Legends of the Fae

As the Festival comes to a close, The veil thins and Faerie awakens—high fae and woodland tricksters roam the grounds, inviting mortals into a weekend of myth, magic, and wonder.

It's our last weekend - Come out and get one last turkey legge, grab that special treasure you've had your eye on, and see your favorite show! After this weekend, we're history!

Legends of the Fae Costume Contest

The forest is watching—arrive as your fae self. Fairies, elves, goblins, satyrs, dryads, and mythical woodland beings—wings, horns, glamour, and magical mischief welcome.

Fae Enchantment Challenge

One partner is charmed. The other holds the magic. In this enchanting relay, the blindfolded “Charmed” must make their way through an obstacle course guided only by the voice of their “Fae.” It’s a spirited test of trust, teamwork, and quick thinking with just the right touch of fantasy chaos.
