Social Media & Community Guidelines

The Georgia Renaissance Festival has always been shaped by the people who bring it to life — our patrons, performers, artisans, vendors, staff, and creative partners. Our social channels are another place for that community to connect, ask questions, share feedback, and celebrate the Festival.

We welcome different opinions, including criticism. We simply ask that everyone participate in a way that respects the people on the other side of the conversation.

Be Part of the Revel

Questions, feedback, disagreement, and spirited conversation are all welcome here.

You do not have to agree with GARF, our decisions, or one another. We do ask that conversations remain respectful toward fellow patrons and the employees, performers, artisans, vendors, contractors, and artists who work with the Festival.

Disagreement does not violate these guidelines. How we engage with one another matters.

Keep It Constructive

Our social channels are meant for the broader GARF community. We may step in when a conversation moves beyond disagreement into personal attacks, harassment, threats, discriminatory content, spam, repeated targeting, or coordinated disruption.

We may also limit repetitive posting or tagging when an individual dispute begins carrying across multiple posts or channels after it has already been addressed.

The People Behind the Festival

There are real people behind everything GARF does.

Questions about someone’s work or about a Festival decision are fair. Personal harassment, directing an online audience toward an individual, or demanding private information about employees, vendors, artists, contractors, or business relationships is not.

We also will not publish private working files, personnel information, contracts, internal communications, or other confidential materials for public review.

How We Moderate

GARF may hide or remove content, limit interactions, restrict accounts, or block accounts when necessary to maintain these standards.

We do not moderate our channels simply because someone disagrees with us. We do, however, reserve the right to manage our own spaces when a discussion becomes personal, repetitive, disruptive, or no longer productive for the wider community.

Questions or Concerns

If you have a concern that needs review, the best way to reach us is [email protected]. That allows the appropriate person to look into the issue directly rather than trying to resolve it through a comment thread.

We take good-faith concerns seriously and will review them based on the information available to us. GARF will ultimately make its own determination about Festival operations, policies, creative work, vendors, and other business matters.

Keep the Community Moving Forward

Our social spaces should be places where people can discover what is happening at the Festival, share memories, ask questions, celebrate the people who make GARF special, and occasionally disagree without losing sight of the community around us.

We appreciate how deeply people care about this Festival. That passion is part of what makes GARF what it is.

We just ask everyone to remember that there are real people on every side of the screen.

Be Curious. Be Kind.
